My brother just came back from Israel on a Birthright trip and brought me a new shofar 🙂 It’s all black, which is certainly different than any of the ones I already have. It’s 12″ along the outside curve, so a nice medium size.
I can get at least 5 tones from it, so it’s definitely the most versatile in my collection. Unfortunately, the mouthpiece was chipped during travel, but it’s small enough I’ll be able to file it down and smooth it out so it can still be kosher for the High Holidays.
He said he had a really good time and that he definitely would like to go back. I think we could make that happen sometime for sure 🙂
