Yes, it’s been over a month since I last posted anything. I haven’t really had much to say although a lot has happened.
Heather did end up having gallbladder surgery, about two weeks ago. They found sludge and lots of tiny gallstones when they examined it, so that would explain her YEARS of intestinal pain. There was also a lot of inflammation in the general area too, which took a while to subside during her recovery. She’s still not 100%, but she claims to feel like a new person.
Ari is doing well too. He recently had a double ear infection, although he barely reacted to it. He’s a good kid 🙂 He’s lifting his head up and looking around while on his belly. It’s really cute; he kicks his feet around too!
Mom has started her radiation therapy. She has 30 days of 15 minutes. She’s very tired by the process, but seemingly from having to get up early every morning, rather than from the radiation itself!
On the employment front, I have decided to leave INRange after 41/2 years. Professionally, it was just time to move on. I’ll be working as a contractor for PennTAP through TekSystems doing a lot of new and challenging things. I’ll be learning two new frameworks (Drupal and Moodle) as well as working in a semi-academic environment at University Park.
In my spare time, I’ll still be helping my friend with his start-up company. We’re both really excited about the prospects for this project. There’s also a good chance I’ll be doing a little moonlighting to help out at INRange over the next few months as well as a few freelance projects here and there.
Things are tight at home right now, but hopefully in the next few months we can work our way out of our current situation into something (at least) a little more comfortable.
